Fluid and Air Supplies
fluid and air connections
The dispenser is supplied with all the required air and fluid channel parts to begin usage. These key parts as follows:-
- Bottles
- Bottle caps with 3 ports - 1 port for air in and two ports for fluid out
- Compressed air tubing - blue tubing
- Liquid tubing - clear tubing
- Liquid tube nuts, ferrules and o-rings
The following figure shows an overview of the air and liquid paths:-
hose/tube and fitting types
The D2 uses two different hose sizes as follows. Each hose must be used with the correct fitting types. The hoses and fittings are supplied by Gyger and their part numbers are shown below.
PFA Tube OD:1.6mm ID:0.75mm (Gyger 18847)
- Tube OD:1.6mm ID:0.75mm - material: PFA (clear) (Gyger 18847)
- Male Nut 1/4-28 UNF; Ø 1.6 - material Delrin (black) (Gyger 18783)
- Ferrule 1/4-28 UNF; Ø 1.6 - material ETFE (blue) (Gyger 18782)
The following images show the assembly sequence:
First slide the ferrule and nut onto the tube as shown:
The ferrule should align with the end of the tube ( the tube should be free from damage/burs and not be flatted from the cut)
The following image shows how the parts fit into the valve inlet adapter:
PFA Tube OD:3.2mm ID:1.6mm (Gyger 21911)
- Tube OD:3.2mm ID:1.6mm - material: PFA (clear) (Gyger 21911)
- Male Nut 1/4-28 UNF; Ø 2-3.2 - material Peek (yellow) (Gyger 21593)
- Ferrule 1/4-28 UNF; Ø 3.2 - material ETFE/steel - two parts (yellow and steel) (Gyger 21608)
The following images show the assembly sequence:
First slide the ferrule (two parts, yellow plastic part and small steel part) and nut onto the tube as shown. Note that the two parts to the ferrule must be aligned correctly when fitting onto the tube. The yellow plastic part has a narrow end and a wide end and the steel ring has a hole that is wider at one end than the other end.
The ferrule should align with the end of the tube ( the tube should be free from damage/burs and not be flatted from the cut)
